| Well, this is not exactly a software review. Shell Extension City is a Web site, but a site that contains links to many Freeware shell extensions. I just love shell extensions. Anything that adds a function to my right click menu is cool to me. I have several great ones listed in my pages and was considering making a page just for file extensions. This site beat me to it and is fantastic. You will not leave this site without finding something to download. |

Xenu's Link Sleuth is a spidering software that checks Web sites for broken links. Link verification is done on "normal" links, images, frames, backgrounds and local image maps. It displays a continously updated list of URLs which you can sort by different criteria. A report with broken links listed by Web page can be created at any time. It will also list all re-directed URLs and all valid URLs. I use this software every week before I update these pages. It allows me to remove or fix broken links very quickly. The program also provides you with a site map of your site, very handy to orgainze your pages. In addition to ecternal links it will also check your internal links, like pictures and menus. If you have a Web site this is a real time saver, it has saved me many hours of clicking and loading sites to check links. |

CopyURL is a small 31Kb shell extension that helps you copy information from your Internet shortcut files to the clipboard. When you install CopuURL you get three additional menu items in your right click menu, Copy Url, Copy Link and Copy Name. You are then able to paste the information into forms, E-Mails or anywhere else. I love this utility! Take a look at the URL for ZeroPlus2, it is long and I can never remember it long enough to type it on anything. When I need to place my URL on submission forms or anything else I copy it from my favorites. It is also great when you want to send a friend a link or you want to copy links from another computer, like at work. I copy the URL's, paste them in a Notepad document and save the document to disk. You can copy a whole list of URL's at one time by selecting several at once and copying them to the clipboard. This is one utility that you can not pass up. They also offer several other Freeware programs and some great shareware at the site. |

GIFTAB is a small 14Kb program that can save you hours of work. With GIFTAB you can create a .Htm page (Web Page) containing all .Gif, .Jpg and .Bmp files contained within a folder. The .HTM file has thumbnails of each picture, and links to a full size picture within the page. You also get size and name information on each picture right in the page and it shows animated .Gifs in both the thumbnail and full picture. I use this program to build an index page for all my graphics that I store on disks so that I can find what I want fast. You open the page and find the thumbnail, click on it to get to the full sized picture and right click on the picture and save it to the directory you need it in. |

It also supports filters, makes thumbnails, converts thumbnails to HTML pages, allows HEX view of files. There is a slide show view and it will allow drag and drop. This is the best free viewer and editor I have ever seen, and it keeps getting better and better.
